What Happens to Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer After the September Election?

So to this one odd footnote of German history....back around four years ago (after the 2017 national election....the head figure of Saarbrucken politics (for the CDU) was Kramp-Karrenbauer.  She was considered five-star material.

She was brought to Berlin, as part of the CDU national 'team' and given the position of CDU party-boss (a position Merkel had occupied).  The belief was....she'd take on the party-boss job, and a ministry position....move up, and be the Merkel replacement candidate in 2021.

The selling point?  Most would argue she was a carbon-copy of Merkel....intellectual, no-drama, logical pattern of thinking, and 'gifted'.

Well....roughly a year into this business, and given a ministry position that she really didn't desire (the Defense Minister job)....she went into a downhill race, and last year....announced that she wouldn't apply for the Chancellor position, and would give up the 'party-boss' job here in early 2021.  This opened the door for Laschet, and how we are in this comical public negativity over Laschet today.

Various dramas in the German military being part of this downward trend?  I would tend to suggest that week after week....they had problems requiring a full 40-hour work-week, and she didn't have time to do both jobs.

What I think happens to Kramp-Karrenbauer?  Right now....she's probably one of four CDU members who will probably still hold a ministry position after the election (assuming that the CDU wins).

For the record, my four picks for the new cabinet?  Spahn (he won't be the Health Minister), Kramp-Karrenbauer (she won't be the Defense Minister), Helge Braun (he probably ends up as Health Minister), and Glockner (will predict she gets the Defense Ministry job).

So we will waltz around in 2022 and 2023....mostly negative with Laschet (assuming he wins the Chancellor race), and talk will start up in 2024 of a better candidate in the 2025 federal election.  I think Kramp-Karrenbauer will be brought up, and most will agree that her window of opportunity has finally arrived.
