Authorities in the Berlin/Brandenburg area are warning folks that a potential strike of bank employees will occur, and a dire situation will occur with ATM/cash machines.
This also affects retail operations....with banks unable to deliver/pick-up cash from stores.
Regional thing? It appears so....but this would be an interesting type strike to go nation-wide, and deprive the public of cash for a week or so.
Getting people active to using debit cards? I'd say that 50-percent of the public does use debit cards to some degree....some Germans still are 100-percent into use of cash.
