In recent weeks, there's been a lot of chatter in Germany over potential heat issues coming up this winter.....because of the Russian natural gas issue.
I noticed it brought up via Focus....over wood-heating ideas that people are having. Around 2,000 companies exist in Germany....who sell heating systems. A lot of interest is going on about wood-heat systems.
Wood 'dealers'? They are admitting a lot phone calls/interest. It would appear that this is going bump up in terms of commerce. I'll bet some of the wood dealers will be working 18 hours a day....to get through commitments.
There is this odd problem in getting into the trend. For at least two years....the German environmental authority has been talking about banning wood-heating systems....because of the poor air quality. There is a fear that you could go and spend 5,000 Euro on a new wood stove and installation....yet be told by summer of 2023, to disconnect it.
My humble view? If you wanted to buy one....it's probably too late to get a system purchased, delivered and installed for this winter. But I would bet by August....there's probably some back-order going on with half-a-million wood stoves.
